It's the same thing with the 10 year cycle. Everytime someone knocks I kinda chuckle to myself. They don't have enough confidence in their product for it to last long... Anytime I think of the 10 year cycle I think all 3 will make it. These people think it's a Sony exclusive or something

I almost bought a slim the other day at Gamestop, but i decided to wait until there was something i really wanted (final fantasy or last guardian). I will say this though, anyone on this site that actually thinks sony is going out sell Wii this holiday season is talking nonsense. I like to watch the race while rooting for Nintendo on the side, but when it comes to reality; Nintendo is going to straight up crash Sony this holiday season and you can quote me on that. I hope they all do well, because competition is good, but Nintendo will be laughing all the way to the bank once again. This gen is over.....nothing is going to change until the next one IMO.

September will be a very tough month for the Wii. I predict it will be the lowest NPD month ever for it up until that date.

Wii's worst month has been July 2009 with 252.5k, I predict September will be lower.

There are lot of top games in September thru December...it looks to be even more crowded this year over last year. Alot of people have already skipped to next year, but I think more should have. Software drives console sales...you see a game, you want to play the game...you buy the console to play the game.

I honestly don't think most people will buy Christmas presents on September when there is still Thanksgiving coming before it, so they were probably birthday/other commemorative date stuff or simply just coincidences.

The reasoning is simple, Wii has got nothing major exclusively for it, while the other consoles are seeing new models, price cuts and major releases. Even ioi has said that the last week of August will have all 3 consoles at the same levels, so it's easy to assume these will slow the Wii down a bit.
