I have to admit, adding PS2 games to the PS3 collection is a genius move.

Definately the 2 Team Ico games and MGS 2&3. Hell, bring out MGS1 in HD as well!

I'd love for Rockstar to bring out the PS2 GTA games in HD. That way I could play an HD GTA that's actually fun.

FFX possibly, but I doubt Square Enix would bother until FFVI-IX have all been remade.

Kingdom heart 1&2 also CoM n the two new ones coming out right b4 KH3 is releaseed in 2010 I wish. They should do it for final fantasy (1-12) put all the game on bluray plus FFXIII demo. I need to stop dreaming!

On topic that would be cool to see games re-made and come out in collections. Like as CGI suggested, Ratchet and Clank.

you get the good PS2 games at decent price on PS3

It shouldn't cost more than an easy port

even if only the core of core are interested about 500k sold for each would still bring a healthy profit.

They can point to these when people whine about their favorite PS2 games not being playable on PS3.

All SCE has to do is take a look at the top selling PS2 exclusive titles from franchises that are currently still active, or have PS3 sequels due for release.

Having enhanced versions of PS2 games by far beats playing upscaled games on the PS3 and I would end up re-buying many of my favorites over time.

MGS Essential Collection (MGS 1-3) would be at the top of my list even though I've already bought each game at least twice.

I'm kind of curious as to why they're distributing the GoW collection on BD though. Maybe just to give the re-issue more sales than a DD only distro format. It will make more sense in the long run to distro reworked PS2 titles through PSN.
