Forums - Sony - Sony's R&D team talks about the Camera and the motion controllers.

During E3, we showcased a prototype for a new controller launching next year. We know you probably have a lot of questions, so we sat down with Richard Marks and Anton Mikhailov, two of the main brains behind the new controller, to get some insight on the E3 demo, the back-story behind development, and the future of this new technology.

Today, you’ll get an inside look at our R&D team—more specifically, who they are, what they do and how they took camera technology to the next level with the new controller. Check out the video below.

We’ll be posting more interviews with Rick and team over the next few weeks. Expect more info here soon…

they better change that design..

That video really does little to dispel the notion that Sony's R&D group consists of 2 guys in a basement.

This is the first they have announce an analog trigger and rumble in the wand. The trigger could be used for walking/running depending upon the pressure.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

looks cool, one more confirmed thing ps3 can do

its color is violet. It might be a toy !

Lol, he sounds like he's talking into a fan. And he seemed a little nervous, so it wasn't just short preparation times that got to him at E3- also, standing up in front of a live audience is harder than speaking to a camera, especially if the camera is just recording.
