Anyway, I agree with you. This new trend, as well as the new infatuation with "Announcement of announcements" and countdown pages are all really stupid. Not only do they cause wild and over the top speculation (FFVII?? Give me a fucking break), but it just causes disappointment for those who get their hopes up for something massive, such as the dozens of posters who are guessing Japanese developed games in this topic.

I didn't read all 21 pages of comments so I don't know if it has been said yet, but what about Legend of Dragoon 2? It's 1st party so it will never go multiplatform. One of the largest complaints about PS3 games is the lack of Square's RPG support. Legend of Dragoon was a very well received PSX game that shined where FF8 left most people disappointed. It would have been smart for Sony to release that game last year, but still, even with FF13 on the horizon, Legend of Dragoon 2 would still do very well in my opinion.

There is no chance of it going multiplat. That means Sony owns the IP. NOT Square. Although Square hasn't, to my knowledge, made any exclusive games multiplat, have they?
