It took the PS2 6 years and 2 months to make it to 100 million.  That means the Wii has until January 2013 to make it to 100 million.  Just about every prediction is before that date.

Unless you are talking DS.  Then yes, it does appear like it won't be tracking above the DS for much longer.

What do I mean? Not one year ago people would've laughed at anyone who said it wouldn't make 100 million within 2010 and that it was tracking so far above the PS2 that it was guaranteed to pass it in lt sales within a couple of years.

Well people are still saying that cause like therepublic said most predictions are in mid 2011-beginning of 2012 which would break the record of the ps2 cause like republic said it took ps2 6 years and 2 months which means wii has until January 2013. But most people said it would get to 100million before Jan 2013....

 

Also ok so maybe that the talk has died down a little like but only by 2 - 4%...

As you can see Wii is already past halfway for 100M and there is still 2 months time till it is 3 full years old.
