The most obvious thing would be a greater efficiency in using the game's interface and being able to type quick messages.

Actually a low monthly fee could be better for a MMO then freeToPlay.

The reason I say this is the in FreeToPLay models, the developers make money by selling in-game items.

Unfortunately this might mean that the game play is compromised by turning game critical items to stuff that can only be bought.

So in a free to play MMO you might have a group of gamers buying cool stuff and showing them off while another group hang around looking all poor and shoddy.

It just creates that in-game caste sytem that is detrimental to gameplay in the long run.

then live on one's knees

You do know FFXI can be played on the PC, PS2, PS3, and 360 and all on the same server right?

Anyways, I don't know what I will get the game for yet, depends on the requirements.

I want to get it for the PC but if my PC can't handle it I will have to resort to the PS3 (or 360 assuming it will eventually come to it) which I just don't want to do. It's not that I have anything against a console version, it's just that MMO's require a lot of time and I just can't hog the TV for that long amount of time without the wife getting angry at me.

I also don't want to play my PS3 on my shitty monitor and I hate moving consoles around so that's out of the question too. Hopefully the PC requirements will be low enough I can handle it.

No real interest in this game, but I would love for more games to have this feature- perhaps in Modern Warfare 3 we can own those 360 fans, get them back for winning in Battlefield 1943
