Here's your answer: No, noone is presenting Demon's Souls as a game changer, just as a game they are looking forward to. Just because people are hyped about playing a game does not mean that they think it will sell consoles, they just want to freaking play it.

I hate these kind of threads so much. Just another version of the 360 fan "let's pat ourselves on the back for being so awesome and not hyping anything" thread that they used to make.

Check threads where PS3 exclusives are brought up, to show how the PS3 is goijng to turn it around.  Demon's Soul ends up on that list. 

Anyhow, when reaching for a subject header for the thread, those words came to mind, maybe even not a fit.  Probably should of said, "Is anyone hyping Demon's Soul like it is a game changer?"  instead of asking why.  It keeps popping up on exclusive hype lists I have seen.  It has spawned multiple threads on here also (like this):

so you're actual question is, "why is it that when people list upcoming ps3 exclusives demon souls is listed as a ps3 exclusive?"  answer: because it is a ps3 exclusive.

I love how xbox fans claim Ps3 fans are crazy and spout ridiculous stuff and that there will never be a 360 fan counter part... Seriously.

it's actually a good game.
got decent reviews, and it's a fresh online RPG.
some people import it and it confirmed good.

in contrast to the other from software game ninja blade.

Chris Hansen is one stylish dresser. Frankly, I'd let him offer me a seat any day.

The difference is that all those games you listed, except obviously Forza because it is not out yet, sold like hotcakes.  The shit PS3 fans change their avatars for/talk up constantly never sells impressively, never gets super high meta scores, etc.  It is hyped because it is a PS3 exclusive.  inFamous is easily the best example.

To be fair, I've never even played inFamous.  I don't hate on PS3 either.  As I type this I am waiting on mine to arrive from Amazon.  But for reasonable human beings without an all-consuming console preference, it gets extremely tiresome reading nonstop hype about games that will never amount to anything, ever.  PS3 fans on this site continually make the most illogical and retarded comments in favor of their console.  Then again, you should know that, since you're buying the PS3 version of Batman: AA because the console is black.

no one has said that only you, in fact what you have said is the 1st ive heard of the game being put like that.

but i tell you what though, my psn buddies who have the game claim its fantastic and judging from the new famitsu parody trailer on jap psn game looks amazing, i cant wait to try it out looks to be a real challenge also.
