Forums - Gaming - Fifa or Pro Evo - Which do you prefer?

Hey guys. Long time reader, first thread.

Simple question really. EAs Fifa and Konamis Pro Evolution Soccer franchise have been battling it out for several years now and just wanted to hear from anyone whose familiar from the games, which franchise they prefer and for what reasons, as the new installments are just over a month away.

Personally, I thought Fifa was untouchable until Pro Evo 3 came along. Then it was Konmais games that had me hooked up until Pro Evo 2008 when they started to seem like watered doown versions of what was already released 12 months ago.

At that point i switched back to Fifa and cant see myself jumping ship again for a long time.

Anyway so yeah i would love to hear you guys opinions, especially those of you stateside as im curious to know if theres anything different that you look for in a FOOTBALL game to that of the people who invented the sport :D

I totally agree. It is a really good game and with the improvements promised in the 2010 version it will only get better. The features such as Be A Pro mode really add a new element to enhance the games longevity.

Well I never really got to play PES much so I'm more of a FIFA guy.

As a series I like Pro Evolution much more but recently the waters have been muddied. I really liked FIFA 09 and i haven't yet played any of the Pro Evo 09 versions to compare, but from what i hear it may be that the edge now goes to FIFA.

PES all the way... its very strange for me the fifa gameplay, i try, more then once but... besides i am not much of and EA fan! always like more the Konami vision of THE GAME!

Fifa at the moment has really improved, while Pro Evo seems to be slacking in a lot of aspects...so to me Fifa is far better currently...
