So are quite a few people psyched for this? I really am. Long before the Wii came out I thought about how you could play with this and they seemed to use some ideas that I thought of, plus more. Seems well done...

It's almost WE/PES + RTS game. I hope it is quite complex...I think its funny how the wii can dumb down a game...and then make a game more complex, yet intuitive.

I really hope it rocks.

yes finally, that you could control other player to run in the direction you want , anyone played the ps2 pes, and when you have the ball, your thinking "come on run forward" or "come closer so I could give you a pass" and stuff... I used to get so frustrated that I stopped playing it..... but now this is all going to change

Must admit since the launch of the wii and with konami's efforts - I haven't been their biggest fan as elebtis and dewys are not my type of games (give me a Wii Silent Hill any day) but if they pull this off then their okay in my book.

Hope you dont have to be as quick thinking as Data from Star Trek to pull this off.

Wow. This is great. I hope that the controls will indeed prove to be easy and intuitive. This game has what it takes to make it a bestseller.

 Actually people will go out and buy FIFA , or a nother PES version :)

Not my kind of game, but it's good to see Konami putting some effort into this. Bring us a 2D Castlevania with orchestral music and I'll be in heavens!

I prefer normal controls but good for the Wii fan I guess.

 some people do buy fifa mainly for the reason that they have complete rosters and all the teams, but anyone who wants to play football seriously on a console plays PES (in my opinion).

also, I doubt they would go and buy a PS3 just for PES if the Wii version is going to be better. Unless it is too complex, I think that this would be perfect. I really hate it when you cant pass to the player you want to. It really is annoying some times. I am not sure how the shooting will work for me though. It might get some getting used to. But with this control scheme, if it were possible to have a inter-console match, I bet Wii gamers would demolish their PS3, PS2 and Xbox foes because of the more control they have.

It might be just me, but I love control. I think I said it before somewhere here, I value correct physics much higher than graphics. This is why I am so happy that Konami has tried something new here.  

Sounds like good new for Soccer fanatics. I hope this game turns out as well as the preview implies. It seems like Konami has actually put a great deal of work into PES for Wii. I hope this trend continues, shoveling have baked games on the Wii is not the way to garner significant software sales.

This video displays some serious potential. This is how the remotes should be used. Just look at this video, even if you are not a footy fan you can definitely say there is innovation in this controller method.

I hope, as time goes on, developers come to grips and make bigger strides with this setup. I mean, this is not at all what I imagined for the series. I was expecting a dumbed down version of the series I know and love.
