Yeah your right about that and when the game release, those SSBB fans that wanted that game will already have Wii's.

Changes the holiday dynamic somewhat that is for sure. Something tells me this is a strategic move for Nintendo to counter the threat posed by the early year PS3 lineup. So there might be a slight chance that Nintendo could change its plans if for whatever reason the Wii starts to slip in sales during the holiday season.

Enlighten me please:

Is this game seen as more important than Galaxy? Do you think that the Wii won't sell out in Christmas without this game?

Otherwise, I see this as a good thing for Nintendo if there were no big games to counter the PS3's lineup in early 2008!

Strategically its a very wise decision, since all Wii's will probably be sold during November and December anyway. Now they have one of the Big 3 left for after the holiday craze. Together with MK that's a great Q1 line-up already.

For the fans it's a dissapointment for sure. But well, there are enough great games left to buy anyway.

Actually Nintendo already has Wii Fit and Mario Kart coming out early 08 and both of those will be multi-million sellers, so I doubt it's to counter Sony, more likely placing it when people will have money to spend as we're all broke in January.

Good for Nintendo. Wii will sell out for christmas no matter what and having some games for after christmas early 08 will help to start their next fiscal year with a bang since they probably met and exceeded their financial goals for this year.
Bad for me though. Working at gamespot part of my job is to sell reserves and i sold a ton for SSBB because it would be out just in time for christmas. Now i'll have to deal with angry parents.

So who else is wondering if they will be able to fill the Smash Dojo with updates until February?

And the delays alright, it gives more time for Halo DS to get announced and time for them to put Master Chief in the game.   KIDDING!

bah, well i wasn't able to get it till 08 anyway, but i was guessing early 08, now i'm thinking it will be late March here in UK (maybe 23rd on the PS3s birthday)

still, good for Nintendo.

I will comit suicide soon. I planned the rest of my life based on that December 3rd release date. This should be illegal, it has to be!
