Forums - Nintendo - Do you think the New Zelda title will be announced at TGS 2009 or E3 2010?

Nintendo isn't attending TGS. I HOPE it will be announced before E3 2010... if it means that it will be released earlier. Windwaker to TP = 3 1/2 years. In november it's gonna be 3 years since TP.
A fall 2010 would, if i'm correct, make it the longest space between 2 zeldas since Oot. Oot-MM was 2 years, MM to WW was 3, more or less. I think LttP to Oot was quite a whiles, though...
A fall 2011 release would be a huge gap indeed.

E3 2010.... im terrible sorry.

MY ZELDA COLLECTION

Nintendo. Does. Not. Show. Up. To. TGS.

How many times does everyone have to say it?

Nintendo will show a teaser trailer at E3 2010. If they show one any earlier, I will eat my GameCube.

A new Zelda, yes! Except don't make it as dark as Twilight this time. Maybe go back to cell-shading for this iteration.

God no. I avoided that game just because of the cell shading.

Then you missed out on one of the best Zelda's ever.

Easily better than Twighlight Princess.

As an oldschool, hardcore Zelda fan, I have to strongly disagree. Wind Waker was lacking a lot of substance compared to OOT or MM, which are by far the tops. TP is a close contender to MM for 2nd place, but hits 3rd for 3D Zeldas.

As a not-so-longtime Zelda fan, Majora's Mask and Wind Waker are better Zelda titles than all.

OT: 2010 will be the big Zelda reveal.. Miyamoto wanted to show it off this year at E3 and so October is still a possibility but I'm thinking next year.

If they announce one then it'll be at Next years E3, they usually don't attend TGS, and as of late they haven't been having their own shows like they use to around TGS time.

I think on a new Zelda was already announced. Just because something wasn't showed other than ART doesn't mean it wasn't an announcement. We know it is being developed as a lead title by a team, and that is enough. Now if you mean shown, then I say there is a chance that will happen this year, but it isn't a big one.

Did you miss last years fall conference? The one where  Sin and Punishment 2 and Punchout Wii aswell as other titles were announced/shown.

This. I think the Wind Waker is a charming game and the music is great but it was too short and too easy and just lacked that extra special little something that makes the Zelda series what it is.

I also go back to the NES Zeldas in the 80's but I found those to be meh,and still hold true Crystalis and Startopics were much better games.

Oot while good and a breakthrough for it's time I still found more enjoyment in Windwaker and WW and Zelda Links Awaking DX are my fave zeldas ever,MM and PH I could not stand.

I liked TP but it seemed to be lacking alot and just seemed like a larger updated easier version rehash of Oot...still fun but could have easily been much better.
