PS3 - 5.00 M. on the next week! nice! ))
Well its about time... Sony wanted to sell this many without games by march... but I don´t want to put it bown, now that the 40Gig is coming and the hollidays and some games are around the corner it should reach 6mil before we know it... lets hope it has its worst time behind it...

I hope the next 5 million doesn't take as long as this 5 million did.
It should be noted that this happened at about the same pace as 360... So Sony isn't doing as bad as a lot of people think.
@ NeoRatt -> True but the 360 had a bad supply and the PS3 is on the shelves since it release.

@ neoratt: Had you sayed one year ago that the PS3 would take as long as the 360 to reach 5mil you would have outraged a lot of fans and gotten laughed at, for a sony console following the PS2 selling like a MS console is bad... and don´t give me the price BS, they wanted to sell 5 mil in 5-6 month with a 600-500 pricetag and no games, there is no way to say this is good, but now Sony got of their butts and we might see an interesting hollyday season.

That and the 360 wasnt expected to convert 120 million gamers in the space of a year.
Games i'm currently playing:

If by nice you mean horrible, there is no excuse for sales to be that low except for the lack of quality games, Lair and Heavenly Sword are not carrying that system through the holidays.
Xbox Live Gamertag - Deathscythe X
AIM SN - Alexie Di Onie
so now the sony domination begins with the 40gig ps3...
sorry couldn't resist.
the problem with comparing the ps3 and the 360 sales wise, is while they are comparable numberwise, the 360 was hard to find from release up to about 3 months post release, then the supply surpassed demand it was easy to find on the shelves of retailers.
the ps3 in comparison was hard to find for about a 2 weeks when supply surpassed demand and it was easy to find on the shelves of retailers.
time will tell but i do not think that the 40gig will propel sales significantly until such time as the ps3 has a System Selling software release... which will be sometime next year.
