so now the sony domination begins with the 40gig ps3...
sorry couldn't resist.
the problem with comparing the ps3 and the 360 sales wise, is while they are comparable numberwise, the 360 was hard to find from release up to about 3 months post release, then the supply surpassed demand it was easy to find on the shelves of retailers.
the ps3 in comparison was hard to find for about a 2 weeks when supply surpassed demand and it was easy to find on the shelves of retailers.
time will tell but i do not think that the 40gig will propel sales significantly until such time as the ps3 has a System Selling software release... which will be sometime next year.
