Nope, the Wii will still be greater than all. But it is good news to Sony fans and Final Fantasy fans. The console is cheap enough to all them to pick up a PS3 and Play Final Fantasy XIII whenever it launches. This may hurt the Xbox 360 sales when Final Fantasy XIII is released. I thought that when Final Fantasy XII launched in the West that the Xbox 360 sales would increase and be above the PS3. But I'm not so sure now. Then again the Xbox 360 has a higher userbase in the west.

I definately disagree, the Wii is going to be loosing market share fast, specifically in a place called JAPAN, were TALES OF VERSPERIA is coming out on the PS3 during that time. Europe I see ps3 going lunatic.. the U.S I dont know..

ToV might be big if it wasn't already released a while ago.  It might do OK in software sales but I don't know why you think it's gonna sell systems, if they were such a big fan of the series to buy a system for it they would have bought a 360.  I don't see the price cut/slim having a huge effect in Japan beyond short term, it isn't accompanied by big games.  I agree with you about Europe and US.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

HOME DANCE PARTY WITH THE SONG: TONIGHT!!! TONIGHT!!! TONIGHT!!! TONIGHT!!! TONIGHT!!! TONIGHT!!! TONIGHT!!! TONIGHT!!! TONIGHT!!! TONIGHT!!! TONIGHT!!! TONIGHT!!!

DAMN!!! KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!

OT:

PS3>360

99%

PS3>Wii

I'd give it 45% Chance. Wii still gathers the casual crowd.

I see a huge huge amount of underestimation on PS3 being $299, w.e no point in arguing what "might" happen, we will all have to see for ourselves

There are still at least 300k people who bought Tales of the Abyss that did not buy Tales of Vesperia. There is some room for growth.

For this following months maybe. Although in the release week of FF13 and a possible release of GT5 might give hell an earthquake they never experienced before.

Well that's assuming Nintendo will have no answer to this move whatsoever. Of course even without an answer it would be quite difficult for them to make up that ground anyways. Not to mention that's a lot of movement for the 360 as well. I mean it's plausible considering how much less Wii has been doing lately but it would still be quite difficult.

Actually a safe assumption to make, given Nintendo's past actions (or lack thereof).

ODST being an expansion, i wouldn't expect it to move that many units. Though Microsoft may have some surprise pricing move left to make

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

While I think the PS3 slim will help sales to an extent, people arent going to run out and replace their PS3s, not with this economy. I think it will be back over 100k, but I've got a hunch the Wii will still elbow it out of the top spot.

The Wii is still going to be the top selling console.

Wii is dooomed! DOOMED!....I still think wii will be the best selling console in September only region I would worry about is really Japan.

True, but 360 users are not really buying alot of SE's rpg's. PS3 owners are starved for both an SE title and as well as a good JRPG. This price point for ps3 i believe is the tipping point for FFXIII to sell better on ps3 in all regions.
