didn't 360 sell around 8k more consoles this week than it did last week in NA, totaling 129k (100k more than ps3)

WW Xbox sales are down. And to be honest I don't belive in this rise of Xbox 360 sales in USA. Maybe it was undertracked the week when Halo 3 was released. I'm waiting for NPD numbers and I think this month charts can be changed a lot when NPD numbers come.

Outside of Japan the 360 is selling well. Yes it's on a Halo bump at the moment, but that doesn't mean it won't continue selling well. It's sold a fair bit more than the original 360 at this point, and that's despite having a significantly smaller launch. It's also got an amazing slate of games coming out. Including once PS2 only games.

360 needs a mass market pirce more than it needs Halo 3. The console will be fine, it will just take a while to pick up in sales.

An online system that didn't suck. Apparently Sony and Big N still haven't figured out how to emulate it after five years. Either that or Sony still hasn't figured out that MS released something called a "360" because last time I booted up my PS3, it appeared that they were still trying to copy the XBL interface from the original Xbox.

Competition is a good thing. Maybe you liked paying $600 for a Playstation with features that most of the public doesn't care about but personally, it kinda pissed me off.

Microsoft's success ensures that Sony will enter generation eight far more humbly than they did generation seven, and that is a very good thing.

It appeals to the mass. It has great games coming. And futuristic capabilities (multi media)

THe tech inside the PS3 is incredible. While the dust hast settle the Playstation brand will rise in 2008. Analyst predict a lot of crap and they don't always come true.
Sit down and think it over, if even 50% of the last-gen users start to cross over in December....what do you think will happen. All the money greedy 3th party devs will start concentrating on the PS3 and put more effort in the PS3.... the PS4 will have a similar architecture, they most know it.
So put effort now to reap the harvest in the future.

Games....most of them will be true next gen. The devs are finishing up the last gen games. The support for the PS2 will drop fast so the only two things that will be left over are the PSP and the wii.
To overcome the problem with devs sticking to the last gen because of the WIi is simple. PS2 but this will take a few years before we ever see the likes of a small PS3. Sony has yet 6 years to unfold their plan. Getting Blu-ray mainstream and then battle the other consoles. Think people Think
