Outside of Japan the 360 is selling well. Yes it's on a Halo bump at the moment, but that doesn't mean it won't continue selling well. It's sold a fair bit more than the original 360 at this point, and that's despite having a significantly smaller launch. It's also got an amazing slate of games coming out. Including once PS2 only games.
