I meant Playstation sales. How to edit thread title? 

Benelux figures:

News Report 24 September 2007 (consumer sales):

100,000 PS3
2 million PS2
430,000 PSP

Comparing this to VGchartz data around the time,

23 September 2007:

Other Europe:

158,251 PS3
3,051,233 PS2
556,824 PSP

If VGchartz' data is correct,

The Benelux Playstation sales accounts for:

63.2% of PS3 sales (!)
65.6% of PS2 sales (!)
77.2% of PSP sales (!!)

in "other Europe". Doesn't this sound to be quite a bit off?  I think the PSP, PS2 and PS3 figures for "Other Europe" are off quite a bit. If not PS2 sales in the Benelux is twice that of Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Ireland, Czeck Republic, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Ukraine, etc, etc, all combined!

The article states sold to consumers.

Again stating 100,000 PS3 sales for the Benelux in 6 months, figure based on sold numbers.

Benelux pre-orders were said to have been 50K.

well then the 360 is doing even better becouse here (netherland biggest of 3) the 360 is selling the most according to the newspapers. (surprised me too, thought the wii was really selling well.)

WTF there is something very wrong here, in the benelux the ps3 sold 100.000 in total, 1.6 mil are sold in other how does that account for 63 procent thats only 1 on 16.

I very much doubt that, maybe they said they had sold the most, including the 1 year headstart.

The article states:

"Hiermee is de Playstation 3 de best verkopende next generation console in deze periode van de levenscyclus. "

The PS3 is the best selling next gen console for the period of its lifecycle. (Meaning it sold most in the first 6 months, more than either Nintendo Wii or XBox 360)

that's becouse of the launch the ps3 is outsold every week here by the wii and 360.

I said "other Europe". This relates to Europe, exlcuding some of the bigger countries like the UK, Germany and France.

The entire "other" section includes sales from everywhere from Taiwan to Brazil, from Australia to Kuweit and South Africa to Russia.
