hmmm, this generation is kinda fucked, the Wii may have almost 50% market share, and yet all high profile multiplatform games only appear on the competition, so really this number means nothing if you ain't getting these 3rd party AAA games, my opinion in regards to games at least.

PS3 lost some market share, mainly because the retail chains are drying up, so many reports out in the wild that confirm this, all this points to Sony releasing a new PS3 model, and I suspect like many others that it'll be the PS3 Slim with a price of $299US....sales will be boosted, and that means the wii's market share will drop back to how it was if not lower while the PS3 market share increases back to normal and then higher, how much the boost will be sustained for is anyone's guess, but it's clear this will happen.

I forgot that MH3 and DQX will be released on HD consoles...

May go higher too, as after those earlier bogus numbers were explained, the xbox360 will have to be adjusted downwards again and the Wii upwards.

I predicted this would happen, that WSR worldwide and especially MH3 in Japan would give Nintendo it's best shot at posting some real marketshare gains, at least until Nintendo pulls a price-drop

 

A PS3 boost with the slim would probably give the HD consoles the edge in marketshare, at least for the foreseeable future.
