Forums - Nintendo - Didn't think Nintendo could do it but...

They made me want to buy a Wii.  Not right now, cause I've already played Zelda:  Twilight Princess on the Gamecube but definetly when Monster Hunter 3, and Super Smash Brothers Brawl (Sonic and Super Sonic sealed the deal for me), and Mario Kart (Motorcycles should be awesome, as well as the wheel).  I'm not a big Mario gamer (the last mario game I played was Super Mario World) but I will try galaxy.  I don't know when I'll get it cause they pushed Kart back to March-May 08, and Brawl got pushed back in Japan.  If Brawl comes out in the States this year I'll get it but Nintendo is really trying to please the "hardcore" and I love that they are actually using the Wii Ware channel for Final Fantasy and I also like they're gonna have some connectivity for the DS to download demos.  I still want a PS3 too though.

^You better wait a year for the PS3, it will be cheaper and the megagames will be out. The Wii is happening now.

SMG/SSBB/FFCC(2x)/MP3:Corruption/SuperPaperMario/MH3/NoMoreHeroes/MKart/RE:UC/SC:Legends/Kings Story/ManHunt2/GhostSquad/FatalFrame/NiGHTs....and numerous great VirtualConsole games

Compare that to GameCube times, wow.

Yeah, get a Wii now (and I mean now, don't wait for the holidays, you won't find one) and buy a PS3 later on.

Well I understand, if Nintendo make hard core games then they will sell to hard core gamers, they already did to me, I would like all the next gen systems myself but I cant afford it, im waiting for the price to drop and drop.

However I would get a Wii now and wait for the game, well get Metroid Prime.

This is because Wii's will sale out again in December for Christmas

That's the great part about it.  If you have the $$$, you can enjoy the games from them all.

I'm already saving for a Wii now I have $150 and I'm just about to buy it with my next check this week. The Wii is mine this week, I can't wait. My first purchase will be no other than The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, it looks amazing and has the new Wii-mote controls. I never thought I would like the Wii also. But I'm now converting into a Wii owner....WOOT WOOT!!!!!

who says you cant have both--there is nothing wrong with more then one system taking up shelf space at the house

@Mesoteto

But having 3 consoles, which I am going to purchase them all. I'm just waiting for PS3 to release FFXIII and thats when its being bought.

But having 3 consoles, can really suck alot of money out your pocket. But I have no problem anyway. I'm a gamer. I like the games I see for the PS3, Wii and 360. And now I'm a proud owner of all three. They all have a different taste of games and its well worth the purchase for all 3.

I very much agree with this.  Having all 3 means that you can pick whatever game you want to play without having to worry about what console its on, and what's even better is that you can pick the best version of the multiplatform titles.

I would also suggest getting a Wii now and a PS3 next year. I expect the 80GB PS3 to be aroung $399 by this time next year and they may even have a sku for around $299. And next year is when all the mega hits will be released for the PS3. So you can play the mega hits for the Wii this year and the mega hits for the PS3 next year.
