People waiting for "The Slim"? with no certainty, no details, no price set? seems unlikely. Especially for the uninformed buyers, I doubt store clerks tell potential buyers to wait for the slim.

The same would happen vice versa too with PS3 fans loving wii doing poorly, I did happen when PS3 were beating them in Japan back in Spring. 

I sense he PS3 slim is pretty near since I doubt sony would stop stocking the standard PS3 so early.
