Everyone on this site says oh the PS3 does not have a killer app for America. Gran Turismo is only big in europe yada yada yada.

Well Gran Turismo 3 sold lots more in NA then Europe. GT3 sold around the same as what Halo 3 has sold in NA but hey i guess Halo isnt a big franchise in NA is it.

And it is kinda big in Japan aswell. With every single GT game selling over a million units.

So with that said do you still think Gran Turismo is a killer app for North America?

Denial.

People dont want to belive that Gran Turismo can outsell another certain racing franchise.
Also, a lot of people want to belive that Halo > Gran Turismo, which is false.

its the fact that most games on ps3 just dont sell well in USA TODAY...in the past it was a force but people doubt it still is...

Ima sony fan but i dont think this will sell as good as the others (even tho i would LOVE to be surprised!!!)

Off topic: Its THE best racing sim this gen (in my opinion) and i will have it first day no matter what price they try to hit me with.

Actually if I have unterstood right GT3 was bundled pretty massively in america and also if you look latest GT (GT5:Prologue) It sold way more in Europe than in america so at the moment GT fanbase is a lot bigger in Europe..

Gran Turismo 3 was bundled during the prime of PS2 sales in America. At least, as I recall.

He didn't. He just answered the question.


GT is a bigger franchise than Halo. He didn't say it a was better (I guess in quality terms, you can compare the two) series.

Nope, you're just as guilty as anyone of everytime a Forza or a Gran Turismo thread comes along, you try to turn it into a war between the two games. Any person knows GT will sell better, but apparently any criticism anybody might have of the beloved Gran Turismo gets them labelled as a "Forza fanboy" by you, so quit acting like you're a saint, when you're as guilty of it as anybody else.
