No, not really. If you care about gaming enough to want two such different games, you probably care enough to buy them both. Even if not first day, if you really wanted both, you'd get both. It's not like somebody will walk into a store and say "Hey, this Assassin's Creed 2 game looks good, but that Modern Warfare 2 looks better, I think I'll get that".

I think they will be disapointing compared to part 1.

As a lot of people who got 1 might not want to buy second.

It's got quite a large userbase thanks to the popularity of the first one. I'm sure it'll be fine. Now compared to the first... well I can't say much on that one but trust me it'll do fine.

I'm more worried about Tony Hawk: Ride and it's close release date rather than this. I mean look how much that is going to cost with the board. That could be an issue.

I think that AC2 will sell less than the first AC. Of course I don't have a crystal ball, but I feel that AC was in the right place at the right time to sell a lot of copies.

Now of course I could easily be proven wrong if AC2 can get some serious hype and advertisement blitz around the holidays. A lot of people bought AC, but there definitely wasn't universal praise for game.

Like someone else posted before, there are strong feelings about AC and a lot of them weren't positive.

Im most certainly not gonna buy it. The first game looked fun, but it turned out to be very boring and i didnt care about the story. The second game will probably be better then the first one, but there's so much more to look forward too. The games Im already buying are MW2, Halo ODST, Dragon Age and Operation Flashpoint 2, thats enough for me for a long time. And when that long time expires there will be Mass Effect 2, the best game of this generation :)

No it will sell well, of course it will. A massive title

It's gonna sell well but i don't expect it too be a big hit like AC1 was..I see it selling to 2-3 million copies.

I can see combined sales of 6M if Ubi plays their cards right.

I agree that it will be fine... the first one was hugely popular and lots of people are interested in a sequel.
