It probably would have sold better on the DS, simply because for whatever reason, Monster Hunter always sells better on portables than on consoles. This parallels a certain other, suspiciously similar, series that shall remain nameless: perhaps that particular type of game simply works better as a portable game than as a console game.



Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.

not sure about the DS, Adhoc games like phantasy star didn't do good n the DS.
but did alot better on the PSP.
same would be for monster hunter... it would do much better on the PSP

I don't think it would have. Besides, consoles seem to need an MH anyways, even though they don't sell as much as the PSP ones.

No I believe it wouldn't have sold more. The game wouldn't work as well on the DS hardware and it'd have far more competition then on the psp.

The psp is online.. it can be local wireless, and online multiplayer.

monster hunter isn't. just local wireless.

you needa ps3 with adhoc party to do it online.

PSP can monster hunter freedom or unite can't

No free online for PSP MH yet, only local multiplayer.

But Ad-Hoc Party is a free download in Japan, so you technically can.
