WW the Wii has got over 50% marketshare MEANING it has more units sold than the PS3 + 360 combined. No idea why people are mentioning PS2 when it is a console from last generation. Having a bit of a mind fuck here. :/

Um... I mentioned the PS2 because it... you know.. sits in your living room and plays games, much like the Wii does.  Also, you can buy it at major retailers, and software for it... much like the Wii...

It's fascinating that you care about "which gen" a console belongs to, but in the eye of a businessman, the PS2 is still quite relevant, and very much counts.  The "generation" of a console is totally irrelevant, from the vast majority of standpoints.

Do pushpins designed several years ago count as "last gen", and thus should not be counted when comparing pushpin and corkboard marketshares?

I'm going to trust the Activision Blizzard numbers over the ones posted on this website so going simplt by total sales:

VGChartz has:

Wii - 51.6 million

360 - 31.5 million

PS3 - 23 million

PS360 - 54.5 million

 

Activison numbers from NPD, Media Create and Chart Track:

Wii - 48.2 million

PS360 - 47.3 million

 

So you are saying if VGChartz total sales are correct somehow 3.4 million Wii's have been sold in other regions and 7.2 million PS360's? I find that very hard to believe.

No one has ever beaten ioi in a sales argument. Know why? They don't know what they're talking about. RPG, I say this as a considerate person. Stop before ioi embarrasses you. You're in a losing argument.

WOW I will be embarrassed by ioi on VGChartz, I can live with that and would simply like an answer. People believing VGChartz numbers over Chart Track etc now that is embarrassing. Also ioi has been beaten in sales arguements....you know ioi was once a NeoGaf member correct?

Id just like to add.

Sony say they had shipped 23.8million PS3's as of June.

With these numbers, it means there are ~4million PS3's on store shelves.
