Forums - Nintendo - Call of Duty is comming to Wii this November

@Barozi, i think the only answer is that they were working on it for a while.

That and MW2 is a bigger and more complex game, its easier to do the first.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I'd bet this is why ModernWarefare2 was never confirmed. They wan't people to buy this one 1st and then the sequel.

So...Modern Warfare 2 on the Wii in November 2011?

REally???? I mean, serious???

I wish the PS3/360 trolls would just leave. Us Wii owners are happy (some of us) so just pop off.

Why trolling ? If I were a Wii only owner I would be pretty pissed right now. That move from Activision is disgrace to every Wii owner.

They think they can jerk you around by giving you a port of a 2 year old game, while the sequel is coming out on almost every other available platform.

If you're all that much of a Modern Warfare fan, you probably already own one of the systems it can run on. As a Wii-only owner (albeit one with a great gaming PC) I have to say I'm amused, but not particularly fussed, by this move, and I don't think I'm in the minority here.

they should have at least added new stuff to it if they really want it to sell

yep, a possibility along with the possibility of being released side by side with Modern Warfare 3 on the HD twins...now that would be deja vu.

But why did they announce this so late ?

Hmmm. If there actually is someone out there who owns just a Wii and hasn't had enough CODMW, then that's a sale. Other than that...

cool, cant wait
