Well, Wii owners have been begging for Modern Warfare since it came out in 2007. World at War barely got to a million even though it's been out for almost a year, while the PS3/360 churned out a million like first week. You may not want to admit it, but with the case of Modern Warfare, Activision is overlooking the Wii, so this two year old port, not even handled by IW, but rather Treyarch (who have a history of making terribly inferior CODs, as compared to IW) seems to be more like a stfu than for profit.....even if profit is to be made

 

What? All we know about this port is that Treyarch is doing it. While that obviously doesn't instil confidence,  why would Activision put out a game to tell Wii owners to stfu? The fact that the Wii is getting Modern Warfare and not Modern Warfare: Jihad Chronicles (or no game at all) tells me they are taking this much more seriously than they could have.

I can't even reply seriously. I literally laughed out loud when I saw that. It was too funny

I'm just stating a fact, sales of the wii are very good despite still receiving poor third party support. I'm pretty sure you would agree with that.

Of course not, if you have a PS3/360/PC then buy all means buy it if you wish.

In reference to my comment, I was under the assumption that you may be a Wii only owner, seeing as your posting about the wii "killing the other two consoles sales wise"...which in this thread mean nothing seeing as the Wii is missing out on CoD:MW2,  and the Sales argument is usually used by Nintendo fanboys when their machine has nothing better than sales, so I do apologise if my assumption of you was incorrect.


The 'usually used' comment is not really true as the Wii has loads of good games to play; just not many of the variety being discussed on this thread. People that like Nintendo games obviously like the games they have so I doubt they use this as a means of deflection on the whole, though some may get annoyed with not having the vast FPS games gained on the HD brothers.

There is far too much simplification of other views on this site, but I suppose that can be classed as funny.

How was I trolling? Like many people have said, a two year old port of an FPS is not going to sell. If you were referring to my first post, I'm not saying Wii owners shouldn't demand a proper CoD, they should, but Activision are pricks and they're not going to put a new FPS with all features intact on the Wii.

If rumour is true:
I'm happy to see a MW game coming to wii. I was one of the many pissed off for not having cod4 on wii, late or not its here so we can enjoy it at last (I'm wii only user and don't like pc gaming).
what as treyarch been doing this year? Hopefuly they changed almost nothing of call of duty4.
But while capcom needed ~1.5 years to port dead rising this needs 2 years (suposing that more time porting down means a lower quality version produced relative to the original).
If the game is as good as waw will be fine for me (I have low standards yeah), but treyarch as now experince on the wii, so i'm sure they will do better.

Did I just read that someone claims that this is just a "STFU" to Wii gamers with no intent on profit?
