"like a horse"
hahaha. That was a good one!

I never found Zelda II that challenging or good. I think Zelda II lacked most of the creativity found in "The Legend of Zelda" and "The Legend or Zelda: A Link to the Past".

it was a spin off, back in that time, the 2-D sidescrollers were hip , so people wanted a better looking game than The Legend of Zelda , so they made it and it was Graphically impressive back then (cause of the characters being in 2-D makes it have more pixels)
Yeah, it wasn't that hard to be honest, I beat Shadow Link without taking a single hit :p

i was going to mention thats the tough part in the game. he used to get me stuck in the corner and spam melee attacks on me.

Well, to be fair I was owned completely on my first try, but then I discoverd that if you jump and attack the whole time Shadow Link has no chance

Didn't like NES Zeldas.
Crystalis puts them to shame but was one of those criminally ignored excellent games.
For me the Palaces themselves weren't too bad... but I hated going through that "maze" to get to the 4th Palace where there's all those sequences where you gotta dodge those annoying bubbles and all kinds of other shit lol. And I hate going through the caves on the way to the Great Palace... AAARRRRRGHHHHH.
I sucked at that game when I was a kid, and then my original NES copy's battery died, so I wasn't actually able to finish the game until I picked up the Zelda Collector's Edition on the GC.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Never tried that method... I just sat in the corner and spammed melee attacks against Shadow Link... flawless victory!

There were a ton of bugs in Zelda II.
The 0 sword, which killed everything with 1 hit.
Shadow Link and Wizzrobe cheap kills (sit in corner for near flawless victory)
Shadow Link dieing when Link turns into a fairy
Overflowing Magic when using spell to get the Master Key
And those are just the few I've seen personally and can remember right now. The Legend of Zelda was great too, but was even easier and missed out on the great side-scrolling link action. I think Zelda II is the only Zelda I haven't beaten 10-15 times, but only because my original copy would always have some bug before I could finish the game.
