If I got to take one console to a desert island with me, where I would stay for the rest of my days...

(A) Console never breaks, and power is not a concern.

(B) Cost of the console, and any media is not a concern.

(C) You get all the games the console can play, any music it can play, and any movie it can play.

(D) Online play is free, even if there is "usually" a charge, and the connection is top-notch.

60GB launch PS3, easily. No other console even comes close. Even if the movies and music didn't come to the island, it would still be the 60GB PS3.  If there was a king, in the gamer's eyes... that'd be it, I think.

Strange question, though.

The combined PS1/PS2/PS3 library, along with PSN ...
vs.
The combined GC/Wii library, along with WiiWare AND VIRTUAL CONSOLE!!!

If you don't count movies, which the Wii can't play, are you so sure?

Yup, I would take the first option.

I'm not going to lie.  Losing Final Fantasy (mostly) would hurt real, real bad.  And there are plenty of other games I'd miss.

But Virtual Console is just massive.  Many of the best games from all Nintendo's systems; and some from Sega, Neo Geo, TG16 ...

And Wikipedia lists Final Fantasy (I) as an upcoming release.  So there's hope!

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!

OK yeah its like this. Xbox 360 has exclusive games, PS3 has exclusive games and Wii has exclusive games. Now, who has the best exclusives so far.

Not counting backwards compatibility, the 360 probably has the best but looking foward like till around mid 2010, the Wii has a lot of great games coming. Plus, Wii Motion Plus is shaping out to be better than I expected. Wii Sports Resort drew me in :)

But lets put it more like this. Between have the combination of having an Xbox360+Wii and having a PS3+Wii, I think I would take the latter, even if Live has more people online. That way I can enjoy Uncharted, Heavy Rain, Alan Wake, Ratchet, God of War 3, Killzone, and whatever PS3 games are coming out.

And dont get me started on Wii, Wii is my favorite.

NINTENDO

nintendo forever . . .

Final Fantasy 1 is on the PSN, but only in Japanese. Along with FF2, FF Tactics and FF7 (which is, of course, in English as well).

How complete is Virtual Console? I thought it only had ~20 games per past system?

Of course it's not. The PS2 is the eternal, forever reigning, Queen (king is not right with Playstation)...

Unless you're talking 60GB PS3... it's not Queen.

The 60GB PS3, yes. It's arguably the best game machine ever. And it has The Cell.

I thought the Wii was the King?

With PS2 emulation yes, it's library is invencible and still plays DVDs/Blu-rays.

And no chances of overheating, and your controller won't fly through your TV screen

And the title goes to:

Atari

The King of Consoles is still the PS2. 540+ green games at Metacritic set it apart from anything else.

Are you people crazy of course the 60gb PS3 is the King of all consoles, you have the gaming library of the PS1, PS2, PS3 and soon to be PSP.
