ioi's been trying to work out deals to get good advertisements (like you see on other major video game websites) and we've had a few here and there, but nothing that ran for any length of time. The weight loss ads are the easier to get ads, and so it is used to generate revenue. Ultimately we want to get rid of ads like those, and show ads for items you guys may actually be interested in.

So, there is no real conspiracy that gamers are fat




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

But yeah when we don't have many of those we get filler ads like the dieting stuff, credit cards and all that rubbish. In an ideal world it would (and will) all be cool gaming ads...

There's a reason I don't watch videos on here...since each time I start a video the White Castle ad goes across the screen for 5 seconds and I get the craving for it...

It's not just here, it's everywhere (in America at least).

It seems like every single website I go to has lose weight ads. Every other commercial on TV has to do with some miracle pill or food system to lose weight.

Now if it was an ad to gain weight I might be interested, i'm having a hard time with that.
