Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo: Drpping Virtual Console support because of Wiiware....

Pilot wings 64 please.

Really this is so lame in general. They trickle out a slow release of mostly crap games, when really they could release a hundred awesome ones in one day. They are running a freaking emu of games that are 10-25 years old. It's stupid they did it as slow as they did. And now they are saying, well we're not focusing on that, instead we are going to very slowly release crappy puzzle/party games with the occasional decent indie game? Get somebody from a romsite, pay him a thousand dollars and in a week, he'll triple your catalogue. So freaking lame.

Nice one ameratsu! xD

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

"Here at Super Game Awesome, the last bastion of video game reporting integrity, emailed NoA ourselves to see what the fuss what about. Here was their response:

"Dear Francis,
That email was legitimate. Trust us, because it's not like anyone can set up a blog and put words in our mouth."

There you have it. Trust only Super Game Awesome to bring you the latest and least made up gaming news out there."

I hope that one is just a joke.

This blog seems to conflict a Nintendo exec on Wired.

Wired.com: Some gamers have complained about the lack of offerings on the Virtual Console. Has that taken a backseat?

Kaigler: We’ve got the Nintendo downloads that we announce every Monday. There’s at least one VC title in that announcement. We’re making sure we put VC titles out. Not every title can be a VC title. Not every game that I grew up with, and others in my generation grew up with, will be made for the Wii. It just depends. We don’t do it just to do it, we do it if the experience can be enhanced by offering it on the Wii.

I would take the word over a Nintendo exec over a virtually-unknown blog. Plus, Nintendo -- like many companies -- says NO until it is ready to announce YES.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

That was awesome.

The only reason WiiWare would be making more is because Nintendo totally botched the Vitual Console. Mostly games no one wants. Such a shame too. And at the rate they're going, they won't release all the back games in this generation. Maybe that was the plan?

I'm sure someone gets paid six figures to figure out you can make more money by releasing games an a slow pace over many weeks. I still feel it would've been better to release damn near everything, right out of the gate. And have the entire catalogue at our fingertips. But, what do I know. Took them this long to get a half decent storage solution, and half decent is describing it nicely. It's not all that great.

I hope not, theirs so many classics that havent made the jump
