Does anyone have any info on the release date of the game, when it was first shown at E3 gamestop said it was coming out 1-1-10 but now it just says pre order

No one knows shit. Miyamoto is going to string it along for aslong as possible bcoz thats what he does.

They said it was a 1st half of 2010 release.

It would be pretty awesome if the game was released on New Years Eve, but I don't see that happening. I'd expect it to hit closer to March or perhaps even later, depending on how development goes.

November 2010. Anything else is unrealistic IMO.

It'll hit first half of 2010, Miyamoto said it was basically finished but they were holding it back because of New Super Mario Bros Wii. It'd be fairly stupid to have two main series Mario titles too close together..

Yeah I'd say November 2010 will probably be the date.

They'll likely find more things to add to the game by then, it still seems a little basic. When the original Mario Galaxy was shown at E3 2006 it was further along and more polished than the trailer we saw for Galaxy 2, and it still got delayed to November.

I agree with I like Bacon, before November it's unrealistic.

I think you need to go back and take a look at the E3 2006 trailer for Mario Galaxy, it was definately far from polished compared to the final game..

It's quite clear Super Mario Galaxy 2 has already made quite a step up from the original. You can also see that the E3 2006 version is quite different from the final version, not basically the same or anything like that..

Actually I take that back, it will probably come out in 2011.
