Well, since nobody mentioned, Saturn had a couple of really great sports titles - Winter Heat, Decathlete, and World Series Baseball '98.

I think dec athlete and winter heat are perhaps the best looking sports games from the 32-bit era

oh ya TC should consider the parodius games

plus fighters megamix and the japanese version of fighting vipers (just for pepsi man)

also the sega saturn version of Twinkle star sprites

and if you can handle text heavy japanese RPGs maybe Tengai Makyou IV..

plus panzer dragoon Zwei

^Good point. Forgot about those ports.

I never bothered with PS1 version of any of those games. Why eat a TV dinner(PS1 port) when you have a steak meal ready (Saturn port)

Indeed, but I never knew any better when I was younger until after the fact. But to be fair to PSX ports, I feel that Street Fighter Alpha 3 was better than the arcade and all the other releases (The port itself as opposed to extras you get from the Dreamcast, PSP, PS2, and probably Saturn versions.  And by extra I mean true 2 on 1 and 3 player mayhem).

I was really disappointed in Panzer Dragoon, is Zewi any better in terms of game-play depth and weapon variety?

*Gratuitous falme-bait signature that mocks two or more consoles while praising another*

meh i didn't like the first game...

2nd one took a while for me to warm to it cause shooting 360 degrees is tough going.. as for weapon variety.. well your dragoon evolves depending on how much % you can shoot down per round.. there will also be something called a pandora's box that opens up a lot of stuff

it's also one of the few 32-bit games that supports widescreen tv's

plus there are multiple routes that you can take that have difficulty bonuses

@ Piggychan.

Decathlete/Athlete kings it the best athletics game i have ever played, forget all these recent summer olympics and beijing games that have been released, Decathlete/Athlete kings is the real deal.

@ Fossil

Another good game if it doesn't cost too much is Manx TT superbike.

2 more classic games made by Sega.

Legend of Oasis, Fighting Vipers, X-Men: Children of the Atom, Shining Force 3, Shining Wisdom, and Blazing Heroes.

Boycotting the following:

1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.

2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.

3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.

4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games.  If that were the case they'd own a PS3.

5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.

6. Boycotts: Their so lame.

oh also try Sonic R..one of the best looking games for the saturn in terms of 3D.. you might also wanna try Burning Rangers and Dead or Alive

plus Astal and Legend of Oasis 2/Story of Thor 2, Sega Rally, Pandemonium (japanese version cause the characters have been anime'd and renamed Magical Hoppers)

plus Street Fighter Alpha 2

Sonic R? I've been contemplating that one, it's good to know that it's recommended!

aah, the Sonic R soundtrack, brings back memories........... classic tunes. (you'll be tapping your feet in no time)

Good game too.

"Everybody's super sonic racing.......... theres no time to look around"
