meh i didn't like the first game...
2nd one took a while for me to warm to it cause shooting 360 degrees is tough going.. as for weapon variety.. well your dragoon evolves depending on how much % you can shoot down per round.. there will also be something called a pandora's box that opens up a lot of stuff
it's also one of the few 32-bit games that supports widescreen tv's
plus there are multiple routes that you can take that have difficulty bonuses
