Here's something interesting from the article- directly quoted from Ubisoft.
Wait a minute, "think of Final Fantasy"? Think of a game that was once Nintendo exclusive, then became Sony exclusive, then Sony-Microsoft multiplat, then Sony exclusive again, then Sony-Microsoft multiplat again? Is that the best example he could come up with?
Basically, it was moneyhatted. All previous Splinter Cell games have been on Sony platforms as well.

Of course, the real reason is that Drake has nice buns, and Sam Fisher's buns aren't AS nice, so Ubisoft was afraid of putting the game on PS3.
They're just ashamed to admit that's the real reason.
