he is not playing it on PS3 , he is using a PS2.

I started messing around with the settings, and I was supposed to turn of something with gameplay on it. Damn! It was so simple.

Yeah, but whether it's good or not is irrelevant, it doesn't help to solve the problem in any way, and thus was completely unnecessary. Anyway, it's fixed now, so...

Well, the MGS disc would have worked fine on the PS3, presumably.

Yes, but he doesn't have one, and he wouldn't be buying one for MGS1
Jo, the memcard is tricky, because I don't know how to erase saves from it with a PS2 (I don't think you can), but you shouldn't have a problem in making it work to save
