i would say around 3 million sold the game goes on sale sept 22

i'll say under but above gears of war 2 1st week

mmm i honistly think around 1mil launch maybe abit more, only because its not a main game, its a spin off. but eventually it will get Halo 3 sales, because lets face it...its halo! lol and we like halo!

personally think Halo Reach will be better, and will have a new xbox by then so will b getting it!

I do think the lack of being called 'Halo 4' will hurt its sales, and with how Halo Wars changed up the gameplay, I think the hardcore FPS base will be a little more careful on buying something just with the word Halo. That aside, I still think September US sales will be between 2 and 2.5 million, probably landing around 2.3 million for the month in the US.

Why would Halo Wars put of the FPS hardcore fanbase?

Maybe you was confused by the fact that HW was an RTS and didn't bother to do any research or look at the box when you bought it but I would think you're in the minority.

People, well most people realise game series can have spin-offs that are of a different genre and they don't affect the sales of the main franchise. Mario-Mario spin-offs.

I predict over 2mil probably around 2.5 for America and 4.5mil for the world up to the week NPD ends for September.

Read my post closer. I was not confused by Halo Wars. However, there is a saying to never underestimate the power of human stupidity. Since it was the first full spinoff of Halo, I would not be surprised if some fans of Halo 3 bought Wars expecting the same type of action, based solely on the Halo name. We here know that to not be the case, but not everyone who buys games does as much research. (Or, really, any for that matter.) Those who felt burnt by Halo Wars are either going to do research on ODST to make their decision, or skip it entirely, waiting for that little 4 to appear next to Halo.

Under is what I'm guessing. Still, it'll sell millions.

I think most people can read the back of a box, that doesn't take research. Like Lord said, I think its the minority that are that stupid to think HW would be a shooter.

 

You can bet bottom dollar Microsoft will advertise ODST as the next shooter.

America only so under, WW would be over I think though.
