Forums - Microsoft - Screenwriter: Halo is "Our Generation's Star Wars"

No, even with its immense popularity it's not at the level of Star Wars. Maybe a movie could do it, but I doubt it severely.

How dare they compare Halo to Star Wars!!! It's a great series but c'mon.....

Eh I'm just glad they didn't compare it to Star Trek the best Sci-Fi series/movies ever =) Star Wars meh I could care less, I'll let Halo take it.

I love Halo, but I won't put it in Star Wars' league at this point in any stretch of the imagination.

C'mon... it's not nearly as epic or cool.

lol thats what the Star Trek people (Trekkers) said when Star Wars came out...

Trekkies are strange people.  Their show wasn't even as popular as Lost in Space.  They just whined and bitched and moaned when their show was cancelled until somebody finally noticed that it existed.

Star Wars, on the other hand, was a phenomenon.

Halo is just a popular shooting franchise. Call Of Duty is just as popular.  Star Wars it is not.

As much as I love halo I don't think its had that much impact.

it's a joke to compare both worldwide, but I'll let americans give their opinion about their own country (though I feel it's the same)

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

If Halo is somehow our generation's Star Wars, then our generation sucks immensely when it comes to Sci-Fi.

Babylon 5 > Star Trek, BTW.

Star Wars is one of the only movie franchises to actually have some quality video games. Can't say the same about Star Trek.
