So wait, tell me if I've got this straight. You hate the game because you can't run around and shoot guys?

this is the flaw with gamers this generation. if it doesnt have anything to do with a soldier, guns, and massive explosions it wont sell for crap because no one is interested. I almost want to say FFXIII will fail because of this but there probably are a bunch of explosions in it.

FFXIII doesnt have those? you havent seen the trailers right? xD

i think FF Agito 13 will fail cause it doesn't have it though.

FFXIII isnt an FPS though. It needs its explosions more than guns.

I don't know if the OP has read my hands-on with the game (http://news.vgchartz.com/news.php?id=3879) but the button presses really do make sense. jutting the analog stick right to dodge a pipe at the last second, pressing the buttons that pop up quickly to get in a few of your own jabs. It's quite satisfying - especially since it's not a canned series of presses. Your success or failure at these takes the story in different directions rather than giving you a game over. In some cases you even choose if you want to get into an event or not (you may not even notice an opportunity for one).

Definitely try Indigo Prophecy first, but I think that, if gaming is going to keep merging with movies, this is the way it needs to be done.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

looks amazing to me, but indigo prophecy is one my favorite games of all time. If you have a 360 i recommend downloading it and giving it a try. It is one of the xbox originals.

i'll buy it , i think it is unique game and i want to support the new ips , otherwise we have to play FPS all the time

It's not for everyone...

I'll be buying it though. As for replay value... judging by what you said I don't think you know much about the game.

Nintendogs? NSMB? Wii Fit?

That was the problem with gamers last gen

On topic. This topic is lame, the OP doesn't like the gameplay of Heavy Rain

@ Everyone but the OP - the OP is entitled to his opinion, leave him alone

@ the OP - no-one cares about your opinion, especially when you present it in such a manner

okay , since you hate these smart ass comments. i'll ask you this.

you played Indigo Prophecy?

no, i unfortunately haven't...i just looked it up and i just realized that it's made by the same dev as heavy rain

Hmmm. That actually looks really good. The one gameplay trailer I saw of Heavy Rain, though, didn't look anywhere near that awesome. There were bubbles over every object you could interact with, and you could roam freely for about 10 seconds before being drawn into 5 minutes of QTE that didn't really achieve anything- it would be better off as just a cutscene.

You forgot to start the title with "IMO"

Wow..
Some of you have no taste in games.

I lost a lot of interest in this game after seeing the trailer back from E3. It may have only been an early build but the graphics were poor. And even worse was how the gameplay appeared. it was slow and a lot of it was scripted. It also seemed choppy.

Maybe some others would like it, but I prefer fluid, fast paced action and intense graphics with crappy story over slow dull gameplay with intriguing story.
