Still no one answered my question... lol
Anyway you made this thread because people vote down Halo, but a lot more people vote down on metroid prime just because it's on the top. Including the OP, so don't be such a hypocrite douche bag.

Yeah, they (including myself) were voting it down because it doesn't belong on top, not because they hated the game (unlike you with Halo) so really there is no hipocracy here, after all, the thread title is "Whats with all the hate on Halo" not, "why do people keep voting down Halo"

He said that he made this thread because of the voting down on Halo. Besides what do you know about metroid prime... Nothing, nada, rien, nichts, niets... You haven't played the game and are there for in NO position to judge if the game belongs to the top or not. The only thing made of iron here is your thick skull.. Please get it through that skull of yours.... You haven't played metroid prime, so you don't know if it belongs on the top or not.

And my question remains unanswered, I guess Halo is nothing special then and just some overrated game...

This thread was made only partly because of the elimination thread, and i've wanted to make it for a long time and mever got around to it.

I think i know where your hate from Halo comes.  Your pissed because you think that Metroid Prime should have been in Halo's spot, you think that Halo is undeserving of its spot and feel robbed that it became mega popular and Metroid Prime isn't as popular.  So in short its jelousy and bitterness that Metroid Prime never became the popular mega hit that you think it should have.

That seems presumptuous.  Seems to me he is pissed because you call into question his voting down Halo and talk about how it must be due to bias, and yet you yourself voted down Metroid Prime, a game you have never played.  Seems hypocritical.

It may be presumptuos but it makes the most sense.  I know...my reason for voting down Metroid Prime was as stupid as his reason for voting down Halo.  I actually like Metroid Prime (haven't played a whole lot, but what i've played I liked), thats why i didn't constantly vote it down (only about 4 times)

Actually no... I dont hate it, I played all of them except Wars, and I have to say that when it comes to singleplayer the game only went lower with 2 and tough it went up on 3 it never got back to the first ones quality...

The problem is that except the multiplayer which is well put together but not outstanding, nothing is special about the game... its a good game, but I wouldent call it great. It has a fairly generic storlyline and main character, it brought nothing new to the table that previous shooters havent, and thats all.

I dont hate it, I just find it utterly overhyped...

Exactly. I don't hate it, just think that it is overhyped for what it is. Really, it is not just Halo i don't care for. I dislike most dual analog shooters. I can't aim accurately anough with them. I had no problems with Perfect dark or Goldeneye. I liked the few minutes of The Conduit that I played at Gamecrazy from a control perspective- but have not bought it yet. Aiming with a mouse does not bother me either.  Ps3 Orange box is perhaps the only fps that I have cared about lately. I am tired of cake jokes, and Portal was short but at least it feels like a different game from the rest of genre. Actually it is kinda it's own genre of fp puzzle solving or something like that. It came with 2 other solid games as well. Halo 3 just kinda feels the same to me as the other stuff in the genre.

IT could be generational really. I grew up with platformers, then fighting games , then rpg were everywhere. Fps is just a newer trend that never really struck my fancy.

I hate it.
Don't tell me I've never played it.. When my friend went away months ago, he let me borrow his 360 while he was gone for a few weeks.
He lent me Halo and a few other games, I played Halo 3, and thought it was the most boring crap i've ever played.
It's unrealistic game play was killing me.
It's WAYY overrated.
I don't 'not like it', I hate it.

BTW: 1337 posts!

An obvious fanboy is a obvious fucking fanboy.

Newsflash: Metal Gear Solid Rising is a XBox360 exclusive.

Another thing: I'm a proud supporter of every console.

Nice attack.

But it's multi-platform.

Eh, sorry. Didn't know until know, considering I've only heard about it at E3 Microsoft showing.

I had Halo 3 when I had a 360. I didn't really play it much. Yes I had plenty of people on the friend list that played it but just because they played it and like it don't mean I would. I played mosly Lost Planet. I basically like TPS more than FPS.

This is the way I see it. If people don't like Halo then let them don't like it. You can't force people to like a game you like. If they talk bad about it then let them. As long as you like Halo that's all that matters. People talk bad about games I like and I don't care. People may say PS3 owners hate Halo but I know a lot 360 owners that hate Halo too. Same for other games like MGS4 which you might think all PS3 owners like but some hate MGS4.

That's cool and you're right but there's also a equal amount of Halo haters who shoved down there Halo hate down on our throats and try their best to convince us how "bad" Halo is.

I hate both Haters and Fanboys!

Just ignore them like I do.  They can say what they want but like I say if you like the game that's all that matters.  There are haters everywhere you go and they can't be stop.

I used to be one of those douchebag, but I've grown up before the Halo series was even announced. So I'm not one of those fanboys! ;)

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

You have to understand when it comes to the voting games, you pick the game you like the best and then set out to eliminate the competition. If Halo wasn't that good people wouldn't vote for or against it. I think Persona 4 is the best 6th gen game and MGS4 is the best 7th. Halo, Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, Final Fantasy X, Uncharted, Galaxy, Mass Effect etc. are the good games that deserve their votes but I'm not going to vote for them over games that I like better. It isn't about console loyalty or fanboyism. Its just a game...
