nani is garbage, sorry, but he just is.

owen is a risk and wont give you more than 20 or so games

valencia is unproven and looks decidedly out of his depth.

berba is a prima donna who did next to nothing last season

rooney is class...

so no, it wouldnt scare the defences.

Nani is a good player, has the potential to be great, had a bad season last time out due to injuries, was great in pre-season

Valencia is a very good player, still adjusting to being in the United team, thats all

Owen seems fit to me at the moment, played what 60 minutes today, just needs to find his feet and he can do great for us.

Berbatov can score 15 or so goals a season when he finds form, which he will

Rooney, no argument there, he's my pick for our top scorer this season

when we hit form, not only will it scare defences, it will score past them too

knocking Nani and Berbatov is fine, but they still both have premiership winners medals, do Gerrard or Torres?

No but does Nani and Berbatov have near the amount of medals for their achievments in football?

true, but history books tend to remember the premiership winning team more than the runners up?

my point was this, even if you dont rate them as individual players, you have to admit they helped the United team win the premiership, as that my friend is a fact.

Don't get me wrong, I hate Gerrard with all my gutts but he's still a tremendous player and would take him and Torres over Nani and Berbatov everyday! Nani and Berbatov have been vital to the Man Utd squad of course, not as important as some but it's not one player who makes a team. Of course one player can easily have a big influence and can effect the team but what a team must do is counteract this, lately we haven't been getting such good results; the effect of a certain player? Who knows, who knows - maybe it is, maybe it's not but what I know is that no one knows, even if they think so...they are immediately wrong.

Hopefully though we can get ourselfs together and the newcomers will settle in and whatever is pondering us right now can be conquered and we can get back onto a good running streak; Seeing as we just lost I believe this is actually good for us as it unsettle the players and force them to put more effort and surely give a kick to their competitive side. I'm sure Wigan are going to get some brutal hurtings on Saturday and  what I must say before leaving this post be, is that our new kit is disgusting and will be the first kit, both home and away that I will not get since 99 ;(

havent seen tombi, captain preference and dslover here yet tonight... why is that?

so you all said ronaldo wasnt a big miss.... still thinking that? serious question.

Went to the cinema and just finished watching MotD. Lol at Man United.

I don't remember saying Ronaldo wasn't a big miss... I doubt I would say that, as I am a Chelsea fan!

Man Utd really have an average midfield, no spark or creativity. Its Chelsea's for the taking this year

If Anderson can fucking do something on the field and score some goals, then I would say that Utd have a good chance at winning a couple trophies. If the midfield cannot get balls to the strikers, then we are done for. Giggs is fucking 35 and he outplayed every single Utd midfielder today. That just shows you...

I like to think that our midfield is good, and that we have 37 games to go to win the PL, But that honestly is just me hoping for things. I knew from the time I saw the lineup that Utd were going to fk this match up. When I intensely thought about the match on my way home from practice, I realise that Ronaldo is a big loss to Utd, very big. He could have changed that match after half time in a minute. I can see Rooney fking things up in terms or scoring this year, Berbatov is to old and Owen will get injured. Utd could have easily got Sneijder or VdV from Madrid as part of the deal for Ronaldo. SAF PLEASE SIGN ANOTHER MIDFIELDER!

I mean damn, my Rep soccer team has only 3 wins this year but we have better passing in the midfield compared to Utd. Nani, Anderson, Carrick WAKE UP!

put me down as an Everton fan!

normally the A-league (Australian league) is pretty poor quality... but check out these goals, that all came from the same amazing game:

Boca 1 (Mouche) - Velez 1 (Zapata) (Sudamericana Round of 32, 1st leg). We played a brillant 1st half, but we were a bit overwhelmed in the 2nd one. Still, it was a good match, to be the first competitive of the season, a couple of great performances. And it was against the last champion, so it was a very difficult match

I'm confident we can turn this around in the 2nd leg
