real fans can criticise and be constructive... blind faith isnt a requirement. i dont see how man u can replace 30 plus goals a season and countless assists with what they have.

its not constructive to panic after 1 bad result in a 38 game season though, am i right?

i criticise the team when i think they deserve it, i know we played poorly tonight, but like i said, its only 1 game.

like i said, Rooney more attacking role, Berba settled in, Owen, Valencia

also to mention, last season and 06/07, Ronaldo scored 17/18 goals in the league, thats more realisticly what we need to replace, sure, 31 goals from somewhere would be great, but the main thing is winning the league, dosent matter if it takes 29 goals more or 11 goals less to do so.

It is possible.... If in 2006 i've told you that ronaldinho was gonna be kick two years later out of barcelona, and still, barcelona was gonna do the "triplete" you've said that a was retarded.... but just look what happen.

Big teams do not depend on a single player. They will find their way. Maybe Manchester is not going to win everything [actually, most likely] but they were great before Ronaldo. Ronaldo was not the start for Manchester.

What I didn't like was that Tevez is gone. He could've been a great addition. But still, Manchester will find the way. Trust me

if utd play with rooney, berba, owen and velencia in the same team they will be a shambles.

eh?

so...these lineups wouldnt scare defences?

AML: Rooney
AMR: Valencia
ST: Berbatov
ST: Owen

AML: Nani
AMR: Valencia
AMC: Rooney
ST: Berbatov
ST: Owen

and you dont even need to play all 3 of them together, combonations should work too.

nani is garbage, sorry, but he just is.

owen is a risk and wont give you more than 20 or so games

valencia is unproven and looks decidedly out of his depth.

berba is a prima donna who did next to nothing last season

rooney is class...

so no, it wouldnt scare the defences.

Nani garbage?? Ja

20 goals, a lot of teams would like that.

Please... just wait. What's ur team on Premier?

Nani is a good player, has the potential to be great, had a bad season last time out due to injuries, was great in pre-season

Valencia is a very good player, still adjusting to being in the United team, thats all

Owen seems fit to me at the moment, played what 60 minutes today, just needs to find his feet and he can do great for us.

Berbatov can score 15 or so goals a season when he finds form, which he will

Rooney, no argument there, he's my pick for our top scorer this season

when we hit form, not only will it scare defences, it will score past them too

knocking Nani and Berbatov is fine, but they still both have premiership winners medals, do Gerrard or Torres?

No but does Nani and Berbatov have near the amount of medals for their achievments in football?

@ maynard I am an oldham fan, but i admit my premier league favour is with Liverpool.

@sci fi I think I am balanced and fair on this. Some man u fans here just come on and say "ha scouse scum lost to spurs, gerrad is shit" its just silly. I am being subjective but its is my honest and fair opinion. Your summary is more of a wish and hope at this point scifi.

my opinion is based upon seeing all of those players when on form...and the managerial ability of Sir Alex Ferguson...not so much of wishing there...ive also provided examples of previous seasons where we have recovered from bad starts and big players leaving...

also, isnt being a Football fan, about hope? im sure you hope Oldham do well and Liverpool also?

i didnt say Gerrard is shit, just that he doesnt make the effort for England and that i prefer Lampard

when Liverpool lost, i said i was glad as im a United fan, just like you are glad that my team lost, thats how it works, didnt laugh though, said i still think theyre a threat.

true, but history books tend to remember the premiership winning team more than the runners up?

my point was this, even if you dont rate them as individual players, you have to admit they helped the United team win the premiership, as that my friend is a fact.

Liverpool? Ok, i like them. Still... i believe at the end Manchester will be way above liverpool

Lescott dropped by Everton...looks very likely he will join City now
