Still disapointed.

Spain was the better team and de Jong deserved red, but it's still sad to lose due to  wrong decisions (Heitinga's second yellow was a dive and we should have gotten a corner) by Howard Webb.

Still proud of the Oranje. Better luck at the EC in 2012!

Welcome back. Webb made alot of wrong decisions in this game. He may be a good referee in general, but on this evening he made the most brutal WC final I've ever seen even worse due to lack of courage. Webb's refereeing was a slap in the face of players from other teams who were sent off during this WC for way less than some fouls committed in the final (especially from de Jong, van Bommel and also later the revenge foul from Iniesta, which Webb couldn't punish as a consequence of his failures in the 1st half).

I'm surprised that so many Dutch fans and media are proud of this specific Dutch team. Times have changed, it seems.

Why wouldn't we be proud? We've reached the final. Something Germany, Brasil, Argentina, England, France, Italy, etc. can't say. It's only testimony to the quality of Spain that the team didn't see any other way of disturbing the Spanish play than to play very tough.

And let's be honest; South-American teams and also Italy and Portugal (dirtiest team this WC) always play very tough and don't get criticized for it.

@Barozi: Yeah it's been awhile...

Yes, you can certainly be proud of reaching the final. The Dutch team played very well until the final and deserved to be there. I'm not surprised at all that Dutch fans and media are proud of this, I'm surprised that they're still proud of this team despite their extremely rough play style in the final, which is still unusual for a Dutch team imo.

Also, Italy and others (Argentina comes to my mind, not Portugal) are always critized for playing tough and sometimes dirty, but I think they never cared. It's been their style forever.

Thanks okr. I did all the work. (tired) It's a shame that Torres wasn't in shape with that injury (and is hit again), then our forward would have been more like it used to be.

Anyways, I'll be keeping this avatar on for another 2 years just like it has been since the Euro to bring us luck, maybe should add a star. Sorry to all who fell on the way, but it is Spain's turn now.

^ I saw, I saw. Pepe Reina was just having a laugh with everyone and Cesc was one of them.
Is Arsenal saying anything over this???

Cesc Fabregas has previously confirmed he wants to join Barcelona. As far as Arsenal are concerned he is not for sale and still has 4 years remaining on his contract.

But, from my view Arsenal are holding out for a bigger price as they won't want to see their prize asset leave. Equally though, they won't want to keep an unhappy player.

Just wait a see how it pans out between them, maybe Barça is able to buy him out of Arsenal.
Only good thing, they would bond much more and la seleccion would become more fluid.

Now my Atleti is up for its SuperCup against Inter at the end of the summer.
That's what I'm looking forward to now.

25 Ukraine 870 -2 -5

Take a look at England. I think that is pretty funny.

Also interesting to see that Egypt got more points than Ghana since the last update....

EDIT: didn't notice I posted the German version of the rankings....

England only went up 1 place because Italy and France dropped. Even though we were poor those two nations were even worse lol. I really think the rankings are rubbish. Why the hell are Greece there? They haven't got passed a group stage since they won the thing 6 years ago...
