Forums - Sales - Valkyria Chronicles on PSP wasn't a good idea?

There are way more PSP's than PS3s.

PSP is probably cheaper to dev on, and they will probably get more money per copy (Including downloaded copies)

It will give the franchise a big boost in Japan, where PSP is doing awesome.

It will possibly be able to be ported to PS3 anyway through PSN if they really want to.

I mean Japan is all okay, but for West where this game sell good amount, and EU+America>Japan for Valkyria Chronicles, and there the PSP software is just dead because of piracy. Even if there is PSN version for PS3 piracy will hurt western sales.

i think its a good move aswell i like playing SRPG on psp way more then ps3 because of that sleep mode it has

No, becuase im not buying it now. Sold my PSP last week.

Wasn't there already supposed to be one coming to the PSP anyways? Maybe the first one was or something. Considering the PS3 version probably didn't give them too much back in return, I'm sure trying on the PSP is only a good idea rather than a bad one.

Just probably?

Ah, crap.

I put "probably" in the wrong line. It was supposed to go in the 3rd line saying "It will probably give the franchise a big boost".

Thanks for pointing it out.

They're making a VC for PSP? Is it the original game or is it a gaiden? Etc. etc.

No, it was just a mistake at E3.

Although, the PS3 version did do half a million.

Ah thought I had heard it somewhere but ok.  Yea PS3 did do half a million but I'm sure if the PSP version did half a million they would be happier eh.

ad hoc multiplayer will be the key element for VC2.  and it should prevent the piracy in the west 'cause gamers will more likely rely on PS3/PSP ad hoc party to play together.

speaking of ad hoc party software (Japan only so far), if you've tried it, you will realize how awesome that program is.  i think Sony will give the ad hoc party a big push in US and Europe later this year.

i don't think you can connect to your PS3 with a hacked PSP.
