Forums - Nintendo - 'New' Nintendo make fewer games. Bullshit.

Please remove the Wiiware titles. It's not fair.

I didn't think bullshit was swearing :S that's what I get for being Australian I guess..

Anywho yeah Wii Vitality or whatever it ends up being called will be a game.. Of course many will dispute that but it will be.

Bullshit isn't considered cursing where I live either, but I figured that I'd let you know.

But if you say it on the TV or radio, the FCC will fine you millions of dollars.

Some people don't like that term for barnyard excrement.

Nevertheless, it is a valid point. Some people may quibble that their particular title of interest has not been released. But the sheer quantity arguement is moot.

PS -- What is Eyeshield 21?

Actually, the list should note that games are Wii Ware titles (they would count -- but it would take 2-3 to equal a commerical release).

Also, it would be good to know what was released in what region. Listing Eyeshield 21 does no good for anyout outside of Japan -- nor does Fatal Frame IV (though most people here probably know what the latter is and may not have a clue abot the former). Similarly, Day of Disaster is MIA for USA/NA.

I included all titles in all regions including Japanese only titles for both GameCube AND Wii as this is about Nintendo as a whole. Also why is having WiiWare titles not fair?

ok I'll take you up on making a list of only quality games... not that I disagree with your point. I'm curious about the comparison.

I think Nintendo always takes their time releasing games. Just think how the NES or SNES years would have been if we spent all that time waiting for Nintendo to release stuff, and there weren't cool third party games.

notes on my editing, got rid of most Wiiware stuff, New Play control series, some third party Nintendo published games, and duplicates (Doubutsu no Mori is animal crossing)

My editing is not perfect, but it looks to me that they are keeping a pretty consistent pace with their gamecube years of releasing quality games. Of course diverging greatly in year 5 since the Wii won't be a dead system in year 5. and I think they have a few more things up their sleaves this year so I wouldn't be surprised if year 4 has more for the Wii.

because the gamecube didn't have that feature and it doesn't take a genius to make a downloadable game.

You have left out a lot of games on the Gamecube side. I Like Bacon seems to have brought it up already.

I do see your overall point, I've been saying for years that Nintendo still make and publish just as many games but nobody wants to listen to me.

@ SmokedHostage. The Wiiware games count as well :)

Why don't we do a GBA/DS comparison?

How technical is your game?
