Pikmin 2 was my favorite GC game. I hope 3 does well but I doubt it will sell more and #1.

If any series deserved better sales its this one.

The point is that this is a sales site and he's predicting the sales of an upcoming game.  What's your point?

OT: I think 2 million if marketed properly.  It may look cute but the genre might turn some people off.  I've yet to play Pikmin but it's starting to sound more and more interesting.  Some people here really love the first two.  *coughs*killeryoshis*coughs*

So Halo 3 ODST isn't on track to sell 6 million+, Forza 3 isn't on track to sell 3 million+, and TV Calibration 3 isn't on track to sell 28 million+?

The point is, they'll all outsell Pikmin 3. Except maybe Halo Wars, and even that might.

NPC Pikmin 2 hasn't even been released in the US yet, has it? I think that'll get a sizeable sales increase and outsell NPC Pikmin 1 when it does.

(Just in case people are posting those figures ^ to try and imply that Pikmin sales are gradually decreasing over time)

No, they aren't. They aren't released yet, so they certainly aren't on track to sell anything yet. Expected, maybe. A game can always seem more appealing before release too, so though unlikely, every single game in this thread could end up selling less than a million. Highly unlikely, yes, but we won't know what track they're on until they release.
