To bad FF XIII wont do as good.

There is no way FFXIII can outsell DQIX in Japan.

But the suggested retail price difference between these two will be at least 2,000 to 3,000 yen, that's 1/3-1/2 of DQIX's price.

So, in terms of total revenue, I think FFXIII will be higher.

DQIX will sell more in Japan, but FFXIII will sell more world wide and generate more revenue. Just like every previous installment.

The thing is, DQ 9 almost outsold the PS3 in 1 day (and will outsell it in 1 week just like i predicted months back).

So even if FF 13 has a 70% attatch rate, which is ridiculous, it still wouldn't make as much.

Of course this is provided these numbers are indeed true.

DQ fans (a lot of them are grown up) complain that the game is too easy, at the level that elementary school studensts can easily beat. There is ZERO adventurous feeling in the game. The number of enemies showing up in the battle as a group is limited at TWO in most cases. The developer (Level 5) has to scrape a lot of things because of the spec of DS.

There you go. To make DQ more popular than ever, SE may have to piss off some hardcore DQ fans. They will still buy the game anyway

Failed troll is fail.

Also,

Profit iw what is important, not revenue, PROFIT!. And I bet DQ will have more in japan for sure. I want to see how hard this is pushed in the west, i Nintendo keeps up the marketing for it it could be big.

Dragon Quest IX preorders a year ago were higher than Final Fantasy XIII preorders are now (presumably within 6 months of release). It won't even be close in Japan. If this day one total is correct, Dragon Quest IX probably topped the lifetime sales of Final Fantasy XIII for PS3 in Japan during a single day.
