I doubt the Conduit will have the legs of WaW. WaW is very popular on HD consoles and that most likely influenced people to buy the Wii version.

The Conduit was over hyped to death and it only pulled in modest numbers. Perhaps it'll sell a million copies in the long run, but not at the $50 price tag.

Good lord, check the site for the hundreads of Killzone 2 threads to see what Over-hype is.

A game that hasn't even sold 2 million, with a much bigger budget :P

This is sad, if true. 150k in the first two weeks, that doesn't bode well for HVS. A game like The Conduit has to sell 3m copies to break even.

HVS will need to sell a lot more than 3M copies to break even, given the reported budget.

Pfft, that's nothing. Esa-Peteri can tell you that HVS is expecting the game to sell 10 million lifetime, minimum. THAT'S what you should be paying attention to.

@ alfredofroylan
Yeah... and there was ton of The Conduit threads.

Either way Killzone 2 sold considerably more the first week in the US alone.

Haha, exactly. That guy was just beyond retarded. Scary to think he actually makes games. Sucky ones, but still.

Let's see. Search Button I command you:

The Conduit: 30 threads

Killzone 2: 129 threads

We were talking about Over-hyping a game and honestly this one can't be considered Over-hyped.

Not every Wii game will have great legs. Just take a good look at Madworld if your not convinced. I see this game dropping like a rock in NA once we see software for the month of July.

Madworld's art style didn't really lend itself to high sales; those games usually don't sell well, even if they're the best game in the universe.

Okami

To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made.  I won't open my unworthy mouth.

Killzone 2 could possibly hit 2 million during Christmas. The Conduit will be hitting the bargain bin during Christmas as well.

What Wii online FPS will replace it?

Also, Mad World and HoTD: Overkill still sell for their original MSRP so I can't see it being less than a 10 dollar price cut for the holidays at most.

They aren't the fraction of the amount of Killzone 2 threads which we've been seeing since 2005.

And Killzone 2 had lackluster sales considering that it was the second coming.

Yeah, 30 discussions were the only times Conduit was mentioned on this forum. The Conduit was never crowbarred into a 1000 other threads.
