WHat I love is 1843 game is it has open world maps, total freedom, much like the incredible Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.

Terrible with only 12 vs 12 players though 1943, that sux.

I hope MAG will be very open world too. 256 players in the same warfield - amazing!!

Bad Company had open maps too, had destructible environments, more classes, and looks like better graphics.

I'm sad that Bad Company 2 won't have more players than 1, but the destructible environments are going to be AWESOME. In Bad Company, the destructible environments were like sprites, walls broke the same exact way and after a while, you can actually predict how a wall or roof will break after you shoot there.

In Bad Company 2, if you shoot somewhere, only that part exactly will chip away. Only the parts that are affected by the explosions will break. And you can fucking demolish a building completely now, instead of just stripping it naked (Can't wait to take a tank and just ram through a house with some snipers in it).

I honestly don't know why everyone's hyping this game, when Bad Company 1 is around 20ish dollars, and Bad Company 2 is coming around. I mean, I remember the OP of the original 1943 thread going "ZOMG, you can destroy trees!", when you could have done that already in Bad Company 1 (I love fucking taking a tank, and just creating a path through a thick forest).

This game looks only like a cheap DL only game for some casual and fun shooting.

Interesting, because from the screens of BF 1943 it looks like it's the same way, the destruction is 'false' in that buildings fall down and breaks in predictable patterns. I hate that.

But maybe the upgraded engine for Frostbyte, like u say Bad company 2 will be a lot better.

What happened is that it's releasing on the consoles. What else did you expect? There are still games which are unmatched on the PC for almost 10 years now.

This is an Xbox Live Arcade and PSN title... Not a fully fledged retail game for $60.

The PSN version comes out tomorrow..

The game is brilliant and the only problem with it currently is nobody can get into a match because EA never had enough dedicated servers assigned to it. They misjudged the huge success. They have spent all day running around hooking up more dedicated servers for those that can't join a game. I haven't been able to play for about 5 hours now. Good job there is a Tutorial mode where you can practice by yourself.

Akvod, do you ever say anything positive? You were whining in the Splinter Cell Conviction thread for god knows how long because on the easiest difficulty you could take a shotgun round to the chest. Then you started bitching because you don't have all the High-Tec gadgets..

Obviously you won't have those gadgets when you quit the organisation that used to supply those gadgets for you. They are now hunting YOU..

You seem to think the world revolves around you and anything that doesn't meet your silly standards equals automatic fail.

I'm saying something positive about Bad Company and Bad Company 2 XD

Not serious enough to give you an actual warning but just watch what you say, try not to derail a thread, and harp on people too terribly much.

Holy crap did that look good! Not only the destruction but i didnt know Bad Company 2 would be open-world and have multiplayer, plus the grafix were great! (now dont tell me the console versions will look much worse and have no multiplayer)

For $15 I don't see the issue.

I didn't know a PC version was coming. If it is more expensive, I'd expect a lot more content.
