If you're talking this gen, then once again, no, PS3 doesn't 'fail' or 'loose' since it sold more than the 360 from launch on the same time frame. Facts are facts. : /

Once again, like I said, even though the 360 is covered under 3 years warranty, the people who bought it early have had their warranties expired and had to buy new consoles from a retailer! And a lot of people didn't go with the 3 year warranty and instead bought the warranty from retailers like best buy, who fix your console 3 times and on the fourth just give you a new console off the shelf, and this contributes towards the sales since it is done as a normal transaction. And as for Sony not being here next generation: Seriously, what are you smoking? They make great consoles and will not drop out, not only because they will overtake the Xbox 360, but also because they are a huge part of the gaming industry, and it's a huge part of Sony which they cannot afford to lose!

When that starts to matter to developers, publishers, investors and consumer's game playing potential, call me.

Until then it's a factoid of irrelevence that PS3 owners cling to as a last ditch effort to salvage the current placement in this generations console race.

Who cares about that?? Even SONY PR never talk about that. Its only fanboys like you that spout it out. If SONY even said that they would be the laughing stock of the entire industry. Cause everyone knows its about how much each console has sold up till now.

Well every 3rd party publishers release their games on PS3, and PS3 has tons of exclusives nobody has, so I guess yeah everybody is happy about the PS3.

Wake me up when one publisher decides to give up on selling games to >21 million installed user base, Kotick would lose his job the next morning if he did that, the shareholders wouldn't be that happy.

Other than that, like I said, if release date matters, then PS3 wins on the time frame from launch compared to 360. If release date doesn't matter, then PS2 is in front by far.

Either way, Sony is doing well.

What matters for me the most is PS3 wins in game quality and quantity. That's my opinion. I don't play with my hardware sales at home, I play with my games.
