I kinda agree with the fact that they are marketing Sackboy as a mascot or a defining figure for the console...but for me personally, a mascot should have some badass qualities about him...kinda like masterchief or marcus fenix, the two biggest badasses in the gaming industry...Mario isn't really a badass, but he is still a pretty cool character, kind of like an icon now...Sackboy on the other hand...well, he doesn't really attack, all he does is dress up as ppl and jump around...the PS3 should really have a first party exclusive game with a super soldier and they should really promote him as the defining figure for its flagship console

I heard sometime around 2008 that sackboy was the mascot. Idk if it changed.

I'd say Kratos. GT is their biggest series, spanning over all of their systems, but you can't really have a car as your mascot.
